I truly believe that

I used to tell my mom that I wanted to work for National Geographic.  I did not own a camera then neither would I own one for the next 15 years. 

But the photos on those magazines transported me to places I never thought I would visit.   Growing up in tiny Costa Rica, everywhere felt so far away. I dreamed of traveling the World, but what I never imagined was that I would end up living abroad for most of my adult life.

A life with many twists and turns took me through Business & Marketing school and years of working for big corporations, having jobs I kind of liked but never loved. 

I started in Costa Rica then moved to Spain, next was the USA, on to Germany, across to Japan, and back to Germany.

I quit my corporate job in 2011, to start my own business. Alone the idea of having to find customers by myself was overwhelming.   I knew how to take photos, but nothing about being an entrepreneur. 

I’ve learned a lot since then and after much trial and error, I am proud of every step and how far I am today.

The real reason I am here is because of my customers. I owe everything to all the people who over the years have believed in me, and have trusted me to work for them.

But also to my husband, who encouraged me to start my business, and take the risk. After all, it’s better to try and fail than to regret never trying... but I’m still here, I’m not one to give up easily.

Things you might not know ABOUT ME

  • Social Introvert

    I identify as a social person

    who loves to spend time with people,

    but who also needs lots of me-time too!

    I love hanging out with friends

    but I have no problem spending a

    Friday night on my own

  • Same Hoops

    I have worn

    the same earrings

    (hoops, ‘cause latina)

    for 20 years

    Did you ever notice?

    Other that my husband,

    it’s the only routine I like

  • SAD Food

    According to my youngest son

    I cook SAD food, but not referring to

    the “Standard American Diet”.

    He says mine is too healthy and flavorless

    Maybe because I can’t smell

    I never use too many spices

    as I don’t know what they taste like.

  • "Chapa" but Adventurous

    My older son reminded me

    that I always say I am “chapa” (bad)

    at sports, but I still like adventure

    and I love climbing mountains.

    I like the freedom I feel when I am

    on top of a mountain

    Mountains are my happy place

  • Trapped artist

    According to my husband

    I am an artist trapped

    inside the head of a

    very structured person.

    The day he told me this

    was the day I realized

    he really did get me

  • The Hippie

    I’m a hippie at heart,

    and officially defined as

    “the hippie” of my family,

    Badge, which I proudly wear

    I love daisies, VW buses & Peace & Love

    I crave the freedom to do and create

    That’s why I love being my own boss

  • Hugger

    I say I love you and

    give hugs a LOT,

    Maybe because I had cancer,

    I never take anything

    for granted

    I practice gratitude everyday

    I’m an optimist,

    I believe in the good in people

    FUN is one of my core values

  • Going places

    I love to travel

    the best is when you go without

    a plan and take the time to really see

    and experience

    Traveling broadens your mind

    I believe one should collect

    memories and adventures

    not things.

    I have a bucket list of places to go

    And my very green

    breakfast smoothie

    Which according to my husband:

    “tastes very healthy”

  • I'm a dog mama

    His name is Hiro

    and he is the cutest thing

    He barks a lot and sounds

    scary, but he is the sweetest

    when he becomes your friend

    You can often see me walking

    around Herzogenaurach with him

    Listening to a podcast

    or trying not to sing out loud
