15. What to say on my websites’ About me Page

Hi, I am Blanca.png

About me page

Should it be about me?

Should your About me page be about YOU or not??

I recently relaunched my About me page on my website.

It is such a love/hate page.  It always feels so awkward talking about yourself… right?  But actually, is the About me page of your website REALLY about you?

It is and it is not.

It is more about how YOU and YOUR EXPERIENCE can SERVE your clients.

It needs to have some storytelling, because who doesn’t love a good story, but in the end, what clients really want to know is HOW in the world are you able to help them, what problem are you going to help them resolve.

It was a lot of fun developing the concept for mine:

“Together, we can awaken the FORCE of your BRAND”

  1. Telling a journey type story, as long as it leads to you doing what you are doing now, otherwise, what’s the purpose?

  2. Authority approach, here you tell about your experience and accomplishments that help you build the authority to do what you do.

  3. Give the facts straight: What you do, How you do it, Where you do it, When you do it, How it works.

  4. Frequently asked questions, so you can answer all those questions customers usually ask you but are not directly answered anywhere else on your website.

Oh! and definitely, don’t forget to include a CTA (Call-to-Action) at the end.
